Dirt

“Dirt” is an experimental video work composed of scanned images that move between the body, earth, and water. Through layering, repetition, and transformation, these fragments form a shifting visual terrain where physical matter and memory become inseparable. Accompanied by the unstable sounds of radio shortwaves, the work explores communication across distances, frequencies, and states of being. The radio signal functions as both a carrier and a disturbance, suggesting the presence of voices, histories, and connections that remain partially obscured yet persist beneath the surface.

Khadija Zammouli is a Tunisian visual artist and filmmaker. She graduated in Film Directing and Screenwriting from the Institut Supérieur des Arts Multimédia de La Manouba (ISAMM) and is currently pursuing a research master’s degree  at ESAC, Gammarth. Working primarily with experimental film, video art, and installation, her practice explores memory and archives.
