ABOUT THE ARTIST
Manon Scharstein is an illustrator, educator, and project developer whose artistic research centers primarily on illustration, comics, and visual storytelling. In her artistic research, she employs drawing, cartoons, and comics not only as artistic media but also as methods of gaining knowledge: she translates everyday life situations into graphic narratives that elevate and reflect on socio-cultural themes. She combines artistic practice with social observation, creating visual knowledge carriers that function as both documentary and analytical tools of feminist practice.
