REviraVOLTA
The performance REviraVOLTA refers to the Mexican craftsmanship of making “Nieves”, a type of water-based ice cream. Fruit pulp, sugar, and water are mixed in a metal bucket containing thick layers of ice and salt. This friction turns the liquid into ice cream. Ana Luiza Trajano developed the flavors working with fruit from Brazil. André Hosoi composed the soundscape with metal buckets, wooden barrels, caps, and shovels as instruments. The performance took place in the Cultural Center of the Banco do Brasil (br).
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Héctor works on the tension fields between the common roles of public and private, exterior and interior, organic and geometric, savage and methodical, real and imaginary.
